Commercial Account Director | Dublin

 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Commercial Account Director within our Sales team. In this role, you will develop relationships to grow and retain a panel of Corporate customers.  

We would love to hear from experienced candidates who wish to embark on an exciting new career with Brown & Brown Ireland. 

What you will do: 

  • Provide a full insurance broking service to existing and new clients 

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of clients' requirements and risk management strategies, and effectively communicate these to insurers 

  • Lead negotiations for policy renewals and new business with Insurers, securing optimal terms, including for complex or challenging cases 

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to select appropriate markets and assist in designing insurance programmes tailored to client requirements 

  • Offer subject matter expertise and recommendations on placement strategies, policy structures, and current market conditions, presenting findings to clients where required 

  • Serve as the escalation point for resolving complex insurer queries 

  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures 

  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with insurers, seeking regular feedback on service 

 

Knowledge, skills, and experience: 

  • 5-10 years’ broking experience with a good knowledge of commercial insurances product ranges including commercial property; employer’s & public liability; commercial fleet; or professional indemnity 

  • Demonstrable experience in insurance broking or underwriting for commercial/corporate accounts 

  • CIP or studying for ACII 

  • Proven experience in relationship management, with an established network of broker and insurer contacts desirable 

  • Ability to maintain clear communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
