AI research company Anthropic recently announced plans to significantly expand its presence in Dublin. The company will increase its office space by sixfold to 21,000 square feet in a central Dublin location, with plans to create 200 roles across engineering, sales, finance, legal and compliance and operations.
The expansion comes as Anthropic’s revenue from the EMEA region has seen elevenfold year-over-year growth, and follows its Series G funding round. Valued at $380 billion, the company now serves over 300,000 enterprise customers, with eight of the Fortune 10 using Claude. Its latest move also coincides with Ireland’s Digital and AI 2030 Strategy, which aims to establish the country as a global AI hub and build on the country’s tech talent base.
“We’re expanding our Irish operations to meet strong enterprise demand across Europe. What we hear consistently from Europe’s largest businesses is that they want AI they can trust — systems that are safe, reliable and built with their interests in mind. That’s exactly what Anthropic exists to provide, and Dublin is the ideal base to deliver it,” Daniela Amodei, Anthropic president and co-founder, said in a statement. “The talent here is exceptional, and we’re proud to be deepening our commitment to Ireland at this pivotal moment for AI adoption in Europe.”
