We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance Shared Service Centre team, based in Zagreb, Croatia. Being members of a truly multinational Group, you will have the opportunity to support the financial processes of different entities , dealing with colleagues from other countries.As one of our Junior SSC Accountants , you will provide support to Accounts payable department. Reporting & Location
 
The Junior SSC Accountant reports to the SSC AP Team Lead. The role is located in Zagreb, Croatia.
 
What you will do:
  • Record purchase invoices on a timely basis and in accordance with our accounting guidelines.
  • Weekly vendor payments according to group policy.
  • Contact vendors to resolve questionable charges and resolve issues.
  • Perform bank account postings and reconciliations for our European subsidiaries.
  • Assist in ensuring accurate and valid supplier bank detail records are kept up-to-date.
  • Periodic vendor account reconciliations and vendor/customer balance reconciliations.
  • Periodic review of unallocated cash items.
  • Review and record intercompany transactions per company policy.
  • Preparation of monthly Intercompany listings and perform intercompany reconciliations.
  • Monthly review and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure that monthly team KPI’s are met and improved to ensure a continuous improvement in our business processes.
  • Monitoring & recording of Intercompany loans, contracts and IC interest calculation.
  • Ensure all business policies and processors are followed in order to comply with internal controls, segregation of duties, delegation of authority.
  • Assisting in audit process.
  • Any ad hoc project or process request.
     
Who you are:
  • Degree in accounting, or related field.
  • School leavers are welcome to apply.
  • Fluent in Croatian and English.
  • Extensive experience with Excel is a must.
  • Microsoft Dynamics experience is considered a plus.
  • Experience within a multi-cultural environment a plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Focus on continuous improvements.
  • Analytical skills, accuracy and attention to details.
  • Delivery of qualitative and reliable output.
  • Hands–on mentality with flexibility regarding job duties and scope of work.
  • Enthusiasm.
  • Team player who maintains productive working relationships.
